A Hold Too Far Nicey was back on Anonymous. Her nemesis was the start of the arete, where she needed to gain enough height by popping her left foot up to enable her to bridge up towards the ledge. She did this without hesitation. Confidence in pulling off this move helped her reach the ledge [...] Last night Team Vodka were doing their usual Brisbane City Loop walk in the evening. As we climbed down the southern stairs of Kangaroo Point, we were greeted by a python coiling itself around a mature possum! It blocked the exit and despite its mouth full (of the possy’s head), Team Vodka squeezed themselves through [...] As part of Team Vodka’s Kokoda Challenge training program, we embarked on a hike up Mount Tibrogargan. Team Vodka (The Bruiser, The Giggler, The Grasshopper and Nice) met Team Faz (The Teacher, his brother Ben and two Canadian teachers) on their descent. Team Faz had left Brisbane by 6am and had a 2 hour [...] The plan was to leave Brisbane by 8am. However, Nice was hungover and resisted all persuasion from the Giggler and I to come on the trip. Just before leaving I said goodbye and suddenly Nice was up on her feet and scrambling around the house stuffing shit in her day pack. Finally we were off [...] Due to the Easter break, only a small number returned to the ritual Monday night climb: The Duke, Irish, The Repsol Scooter and myself.
